SMC Events Limited is a specialist event based company that manages all aspects of event implementation, including creative direction, sponsorship procurement, logistics, managing contractors and working to briefs.

SMC Events manages the Ellerslie International Flower Show, which has now moved to its new home Christchurch, The Garden City. It is rated by Tourism New Zealand as one of the top 5 events with which they are associated. It is the largerst flower show in the Southern Hemisphere and attracts over 70,000 people and over 300 exhibitors.

There is a diverse cross section of events and each require a different skill set to implement. This has enhanced SMC Events ability as event organisers to be able to offer the complete event management company.

SMC Events deliver a range of events from medium size to large events. In all instances each event has a critical path and reports against these. Each event has detailed budgets with time lines including all items of expenditure and income.

SMC Events has relationships with ticketing agents including Ticketek, Ticketdirect and our own in house ticketing system to deal with corporate ticketing. Each event has a rigorous financial reporting process and is evaluated at board meetings for approval.

SMC Events maintain and regularly update event databases which include details such as sponsors, corporates, public and exhibitors.

SMC Events has relationships with website designers. With a client-driven approach SMC Events ensure a quality product that best represents all clients.
